Research

I completed my PhD at the University of Tasmania School of Engineering and ICT under Professor Christopher Lueg and Dr Leonie Ellis. My research focused on the role of the iPad in personal information management (PIM), with a particular focus on the nature of cross-platform PIM.

A number of publications relating to my PhD research are available online.

Previously, I completed my Honours degree under Professor Lueg. My thesis revolved around the use of radio-frequency identification (RFID) in PIM, with a particular focus on locating paper documents in an office environment composed of files and piles. I graduated with First Class Honours.

My particular research interests are:

  • mobile and ubiquitous computing
  • personal information management (PIM)
  • information management and retrieval
  • information behaviour
